Terms & Conditions

Please read and understand the following Terms and Conditions before booking a course or class or taking up membership at Sak Beh Studio Pottery.

Terms & Conditions -Courses/Classes

Refunds

Full payment of course/class fees must be received by Sak Beh Studio Pottery prior to attending a course or class.

A full refund will be given (minus a £5 booking fee) if notice to cancel the course/class is received  14 days or more before the start of the course. A cancellation received between 7 and 14 days before the start of the course/class will be eligible for a 50% refund (minus £5 booking fee). No refunds are offered if cancellation is received less than 7 days before the start of the course. Once a course/class has started there can be no refunds.

In the case of non-attendance or late attendance, the full course/class fees are still payable, also it is not possible to offer full or partial course/class date transfers. It is therefore suggested that participants make every effort to attend the full number of sessions.

Transfer

Transfers to alternative courses/classes or dates can be made if the request is received 14 days before the course start date. Request to transfer must be made in writing and will incur no additional fee. Transfers are subject to availability and the Sak Beh Studio is not obliged to ensure suitable alternatives are available.

A booking can only be transferred once.

Course Content

Where insufficient course/class bookings are received, Sak Beh Studio Pottery reserves the right to cancel the course up to and including the date of the course. Anyone booked onto a cancelled course will be offered a full refund or the option of rescheduling to a future course date if available. Sak Beh Studio Pottery will not be liable for any losses or expenses arising form amendments to the course or cancellations.

Health and Safety

Course participants are required to abide by the Heath and Safety guidelines as explained and set out by Sak Beh staff. Good studio practice revolves around Health and Safety therefore it is essential that participants take on board Health and Safety. Should a participant continually ignore Health and Safety this can result in a termination of the course without refund.

Classes are for adults (18+). Sak Beh Studio cannot take responsibility for injuries caused through misuse of the studio or equipment. Sak Beh Studio cannot take responsibility for belongings or money going missing or getting stolen.

Collecting Work

Courses/Classes: Your work will be ready for collection, generally two to three weeks after the completion of the course/class. Your collection date and time (listed below the date on which your class took place) will be posted on the Sak Beh Website. You will have one month to collect your work from the collection date posted on the website. We cannot guarantee that work won't be damaged in the kiln or survive a firing.

Classes/Courses and Taster sessions: All material costs are part of the session.

Please note that in certain instances there will be a material cost charged at £3.50 per 500g of fired pot. Where this is the case, the class/course information will clearly state this. Pots should be paid for on the day of the class.

(Work damaged during the firing process is not the responsibility of Sak Beh Studio Pottery and, due to limited storage space, work remaining in the studio after the one month cut off period will be disposed of.)
